Colored USA 1939-1943
Pretty interesting and cool work by the Library of Congress, USA. They have colored the pics taken by photographers of the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information between 1939 and 1943. Possible to catch the effects of the Depression on America’s rural and small town populations in the pictures. These photos have time machine effect and teleporting you to 1940s while watching them.
The photographs are the property of the Library of Congress and were included in a 2006 exhibit Bound for Glory: America in Color.
Farm auction. Derby, Connecticut, September 1940
