2 New book recommendations

From the books that i read in army days; As Crime and Punishment and The Brothers Karamazov, Ivan Turgenev's Fathers and Sons was also one of the books that I had already read in college years but also read again in army days. It totally worth to read it again. And another book was Dostoyevsky' s Uncle's Dream.

1) Ivan Turgenev - Fathers and Sons

Ivan Turgenev - Fathers and Sons

When a young graduate returns home he is accompanied, much to his father and uncle's discomfort, by a strange friend "who doesn't acknowledge any authorities, who doesn't accept a single principle on faith." Turgenev's masterpiece of generational conflict shocked Russian society when it was published in 1862 and continues today to seem as fresh and outspoken as it did to those who first encountered its nihilistic hero.

2) Fyodor Dostoyevsky - Uncle's Dream
Fyodor Dostoyevsky - Uncle's Dream
The main story Uncle's Dream was penned by Dostoyevsky after a five-year exile in Siberia and covers the tale of a provincial family desperate to better itself through a marriage of their daughter to a senile prince. The old man is hoodwinked and almost forced into a wedding that is expected to last for a short period before he dies and leaves his fortune to the young girl. There are complications however with the young girl Zina already in love with a teacher who is on his death bed. That relationship is frowned on by her ambitious mother and the only other suitor is disliked by Zina.
